Michael Grossman

Michael Grossman is Chief Investment Officer at Calvert Impact.
Michael began his career at Citibank where he spent more than a decade including as Chief Executive of Citibank Tunisia as well as CEO of Citibank Senegal and Senior Operations Officer in north Africa.
In addition, Michael was a Senior Advisor to McKinsey & Co’s Social Sector Office where he focused on financial inclusion and using technology to extend access to financial services to underserved communities.
Michael helped launch the lending strategies at Climate United and New Island Capital, where he also led private equity investments in banks and non-bank lenders in the USA and emerging markets. Michael was responsible for international lending at Calvert Impact Capital.
Michael has been a board member or observer at a leading national consumer lender, a rural CDFI and two non-profit financial intermediaries as well as investment committee member for multiple investment funds.
Michael is a graduate of MIT and Georgetown University. Michael is a Salzburg Global Fellow and a Chevalier in Senegal's National Order of the Lion.
