Emmeline Liu
General Counsel of Calvert Impact
Emmeline Liu is the General Counsel of Calvert Impact Capital. Emmeline oversees all of Calvert Impact’s legal affairs including its overall legal structure and approach to impact. Including negotiating agreements with its borrowers and strategic partners. She manages regulatory compliance and securities issues relating to the issuance of the Community Investment Notes. She also helps to construct creative and innovative legal structures for new impact products Calvert Impact brings to market. Prior to joining Calvert Impact, Emmeline practiced in the Business and Finance group at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius’s New York office. She was actively involved in pro bono matters and diversity initiatives. Emmeline received her JD from the University of Chicago Law School and received her BA from Cornell University.
