Bob Jones

Robert (Bob) Jones is an accomplished banking and community development executive with a specialized focus on rural economic development and financial literacy. He was the CEO of United Bancorporation of Alabama (Ticker: UBAB), where he grew the institution to $1 billion in assets and served as the Chairman of UB Community Development, administering significant CDFI programs in Alabama.

After retiring from his previous roles, Bob has taken on various advisory roles that leverage his vast expertise. He serves as a Senior Advisor to the Community Development Bankers Association, as a Director at CentSai, and as an Executive Director of CB-Resource, Inc., where he has been providing advisory services to community development banks in ERM, capital, and strategic planning.

Bob’s earlier career included C-Suite positions in agri-business, bio-energy, and logistics, along with service as a Commissioned Supply Corps Officer in the United States Navy. Bob earned his MBA from Auburn University and has specialized banking qualifications from Southern Methodist University and Louisiana State University.
